The park features a recreational 191-acre lake for fishing, boating, and kayaking in addition to camping, natural recreation, bird watching, a softball diamond, and outdoor theatre stage making it making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

The course offers an enjoyable and challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels. Originally established in 1923 as a 9-hole course, it was expanded in 2002 to a full 18-hole course. All 18 holes are well- irrigated, ensuring consistent play conditions from early spring through late fall. The course spans 5,651 yards from the white tees, with a par of 70. It is accessible to both walkers and cart users, and the facility includes a pro shop stocked with golfing essentials and equipment. Scripps Park Golf Course also accommodates groups and corporate outings, making it a versatile venue for various events.

This little league and softball sports complex features a new state-of-the-art Astro turf field and two clay diamonds with spectator accommodations. Plans are underway for expansion of the site amenities for increased use for large local competitions and state tournaments.

This scenic recreational area in Rushville has multiple outdoor activities for the community. Of note is the Scripps Park Pool, a 260,000-gallon pool with zero-depth area, water play features, and a 25’ open flume waterslide. This community asset is a local destination for activities including swimming lessons, birthday parties, and celebrations. Scripps Park also features well-maintained walking trails, picnic areas, and playgrounds, providing a perfect setting for family outings and community events.
